| Rhythm of French by Japanese Learners --On the length of the final syllable-- 日本語学習者におけるフランス語のリズム ――発話末音節の長さについて―― 博士課程 神山剛樹 |
| 【Summary】 We investigated in this study the length of the final syllable,and of its vowel, in utterances produced by native speakers of Japanese learning French. This is considered to be one of the major difficulties in the acquisition of the rhythm of French by Japanese learners: in French the final syllable is regarded as carrying an accent, marked by its lengthening (allongement final), while no final lengthening is normally observed in Japanese, except in non-final phrases and sentences. We conducted three procedures to approach the problem. The first was to record the utterance of short sentences read by beginners, and to measure the length of the final syllable and that of its vowel. We compared the data with that of a model speaker. The second was to record the utterance of short sentences in Japanese read by the same subjects. The last was to carry out a perception test with native speakers of French, using stimuli synthesized by lengthening the vowel of the final syllable of some utterances in French recorded in the procedure above. We will present the results of these experiments, and some clues to interpretation of the data. 【発表要旨】 本研究は日本人フランス語学習者による発話の最終音節とその母音の長さについての研究である。これは、日本人学習者によるフランス語のリズムの習得のなかでも困難な点の一つと考えられる。フランス語では、（発話の）最終音節に伸張が見られ、それがアクセントを担うとされているが、日本語では、言い切りの文の場合、普通、最終音節の伸張はみられないからである。以上の問題を検討するために、三つの手順をふんだ。まず、初心者の読んだ短文発話を録音し、発話末音節と、その母音の長さを測定し、モデル話者のものと比較した。次に、同じ被験者によって読まれた日本語の短文を録音した。最後に、上記の手順で録音されたフランス語文のうちのいくつかについて、発話末音節の母音の時間長を伸張した音声を合成、これを刺激としてフランス語話者に対して聴覚実験を実施した。これらの実験の結果とデータの分析、解釈の可能性について発表する。 |
