Language attitudes and identity of Welsh language learners.

【Summary】
This presentation is based on a Ph.D. dissertation submitted to the University of Wales, UK. The study explores language attitudes and ideas of adolescent Welsh learners and speakers in relation to their group identification. A brief discussion is also given on the current context of Welsh language teaching in Wales, where only 18.5 % of the population are reported as Welsh speakers.
