授業の目標・概要

This course will cover both key concepts in SLA (such as Critical Period Hypothesis, Fundamental Difference Hypothesis, the nature of the L2 initial state, and cross-linguistic influence/transfer) and research on L2 processing at different levels of respresentation (lexical, syntactic, discourse).

成績評価方法

You will be writing responses to short questions about assigned readings. As a final project, you will create a proposal for a study on second language acquisition. You will present your proposal in class on the last day, and write up your proposal as a short final paper.
