Research Interests

Dr. Oda specializes in Comparative Syntax, Generative Linguistic Typology, Parameter Theory, as well as phonological, morphological, syntactic, and semantic interfaces. His research aims to explain human linguistic competence from diverse perspectives, such as linguistic typology, interlingual variation, interface, language acquisition and language change. He is particularly interested in the interlingual variation in locality, indefinite pronouns, noun phrase structures, and other relevant topics.
